Humboldt Bay Pickleball Club promotes pickleball on the North Coast of California. It serves the players of Humboldt County, with the goal of encouraging the growth of this fun sport. It does this by developing venues for playing pickleball, providing equipment at some local sites, and hosting social and competitive activities.

Our Members support the Goals of the of the Humboldt Bay Pickleball Club and the sport of pickleball in Humboldt County, CA. Your support helps our club be a significant force in developing more quality future courts, both indoors and outdoors, enhancing play for the fastest-growing sport in the country, and helping the cities, county, and local institutions maintain the courts we currently have.

Membership comes with many benefits.

*Club players receive access to locked equipment at courts.

*Members will have exclusive access to a portal on our website that will provide club documents and a forum for discussion with other members.

*Club members have priority to participate in Club tournaments, clinics, drill sessions, and the like.

*Discounts are provided to members for any club event with a fee.

*Eligible to vote on club officers, local club issues, and how to use the club treasury funds.

HBPC membership begins when you join. It no longer follows the calendar year. You have the option to renew automatically or not. We recommend that you read the USA Pickleball Sportsmanship Guide

This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for behavior during all club activities that relate directly, or indirectly, to pickleball play. By participating in our activities and events, you agree to abide by these guidelines to ensure a respectful and safe environment for everyone. We must always strive to

1. Engage in sportsmanlike conduct and encourage others to do so.

2. Foster behavior that promotes the health, safety, and well-being of others.

3. Avoid the use of profanity and unkind gestures.

4. Treat others with respect and civility.

5. Exhibit fairness and honesty when interacting with others.

6. Display professionalism when acting in any official capacity or as a volunteer.

7. Adhere to the protocols established by the playing venues, public or private.

8. Observe the Golden Rule of doing unto others as you would have them do unto you.

9. Engage in conduct that is free from fear, discrimination, abuse, and harassment.
